Off Kilter Cake is what happens when dessert decides the rules are optional.
In this painting, a towering multi-tiered cake tilts and teeters at wildly improbable angles, stacking layer upon layer in a gravity-defying balancing act. Each tier bursts with its own explosion of color and pattern, while icing drips and oozes with unapologetic extravagance. The spectacle is crowned with a cupcake—because one cake apparently wasn’t enough—and, naturally, a cherry on top.
Perched on a decorative stand doing its best to look supportive, the confection floats against a buttercream-to-saffron backdrop. Lazy looping patterns wander across the surface like frosting swirls, adding to the slightly dizzy, sugar-rush atmosphere.
