Tutti Frutti is part of my “You Deserve a Dessert” series, a visual counterpoint to the darkness we’re constantly served. This piece is meant to be light, bright, and deliciously defiant—like a scoop of sorbet for the soul. It’s not a solution to the world’s problems, but a reminder that we all deserve a little sweetness.
I painted Tutti Frutti in acrylic on gallery-wrapped canvas, building from bold base colors and layering glazes of metallic, pearl, and iridescent hues to create a frothy, shimmering effect. A soft hazing technique lends the piece a cloud-like, floating quality. The painting continues around all four sides with detailed accents, inviting viewers to experience it from every angle.
