Zen Garden series I-XII was donated to the 2025 Micro Masterpieces fundraiser.
Zen Garden is inspired by my Japanese garden. The botanical monotypes on tissue are accented with gold leaf, flourishes, and a vermilion chop. After 30 years of cultivation, the garden, like my art, is a practice in patience. It’s not about perfection, but the quiet fulfillment found in process.
Micro Masterpieces is Rancho Cordova Arts' annual fundraiser to provide new art supplies to kindergarten through 12th grade in all schools and classrooms in Rancho Cordova, California.
The 6"X6" original artworks are all donated by artists and money is raised through an online auction.
